Much like that wich struck the fabled city of Sarnath, a doom seemed to loom in the future of gamers everywhere. It started with a picture on Myspace, then quickly became the most feared rumor in the history of the internet.
Is here a Twilight MMO in the works?
While one part of me says good, keep them out of other games by giving them a place to go have creepy cyber sex all by themselves well away from anybody else, another part fears what could happen should it get really popular and other games start to emulate it. Would the next patch for WOW change all the orcs to effeminate pale pretty boys who are just looking for love amongst the elves? Will the latest installment of the Street Fighter series feature people who should be bitter enemies going out on awkward dates with each other? Will all characters be named some form of either “<3Edward<3″ or “~~~@bella@~~~”?
Thankfully, the rumored game is only a student project. However, all it would is for someone to look at the buzz that a student project has made and multiply that by the amount of money teen girls spend on stupid things, and then once the cha-chings stop going off in their head, this may well become a reality…
