So, it would appear that the British Royal Navy decided to do something about pirates.  They saw a couple of suspicious boats and investigated.  Upon inspection, they found machine guns and grenade launchers.  Within two minutes, they had rounded up all the pirates and arrested them.  They then promptly released them all.   Due to the rules of engagement, you can only arrest pirates who are actually engaging in the act of piracy, not just traveling the destination at which they will act piraticaly.  I am not sure if that means just attacking ships, or also burying booty, but either way, it is apparently quite OK to just sail around with tons of heavy weapons.

Before releasing them however, they did destroy all the weapons, and sink one of their boats.  Hit the jump for the video of the Royal Navy making a smaller poorly constructed skiff it’s bitch.

The real bitch making starts at about 1:40, the rest is the Navy rounding up pirates, which is also kinda cool, I guess…

The real question now, is whether or not the pirates can sue?  And if they do and win, will they retire, or buy a bigger boat?  I’d go with the bigger boat, because then you could seek out bigger prey
