Watching Speed Racer, and while it’s not as bad as I expected, it’s not really that good either. I can see where they were trying to go with all the CG and effects, and I think that they managed to go there and beyond. There is so much CG in this movie I’m not really sure what I’m watching. It wouldn’t supprise me if the only thing in the movie that was real was Gary Busey singing in the shower and all the rest was CG that they somehow wraped around him to make this movie. Even when they aren’t racing and the bad guys are talking business they have giant trippy floating fish in the background.
Wait, thought process inturrupted by Christina Ricci in a nightie… BRB…
OK, where was I? Oh yes, the stunning visuals. It’s like watching a 3D movie, or better yet, like watching 3D glasses and watching real life. You know how every thing focuses differently and it looks like they added an extra D taking the real world from 3 to 4D.
Wait, did that Chimchim just throw monkey shit on the bad guys face, and then did he taste it?
OK, you know what, I think I got it. This movie is like watching a 4D cartoon with ADHD.
