I really have no clue why it does it. But since almost the day I got it, it laughs. It may be from game I tried installing. It may be from some sound setting I just cannot find. It may have gained sentience and is just plotting my demise…
This laugh is not something that I recognize from any game. I haven’t downloaded this sound knowingly. It’s not a movie clip that I remember. I really have no clue where it came from.
Recently however, I have noticed that when this laugh plays, an icon pops up in the system tray. This means that I can track down at least one cause of this annoying sound. Unfortunately, it is only there for the duration of the sound, which is only about a second. I have yet to be fast enough to swing my mouse over to the tray and figure out what is causing it.
I guess also on the upside, it is only laughing, and not making the kissing noises, or the creepy high pitched giggle anymore…
***UPDATE!!!***
It’s FFDShow causing the problem. I installed it to watch some matroska video files. Only thing is however, would be that I only recently installed that. Which means that there is still something else causing the laugh as well…
